PENNDOT REDUCES SPEED ON I-99
PennDOT Reduces Speed Limits on I-99 in Bedford and Blair Counties
Hollidaysburg, PA – Due to the winter storm moving through the region, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is temporarily reducing
speed limits on Interstate 99 in Bedford and Blair Counties.
PennDOT is urging motorists to avoid unnecessary travel but those who must head out will see speeds reduced to 45 mph on I-99 from the Centre/Blair County line to the end of the Interstate in Bedford County.
Although PennDOT crews are treating roadways, the department’s primary goal is to keep roads passable, not completely free of ice and snow. PennDOT will continue to treat roadways throughout the storm until precipitation stops and roads are clear.
