Head Start’s Health & Safety Carnival Anticipated to Draw Hundreds

May 10, 2016 (Blair County, PA): The Blair County Head Start program is gearing up to host its largest Health & Safety Carnival to date for all Head Start children and their families.  The fifth annual Health & Safety Carnival will be held on Wednesday May 18, 2016 from 5pm to 7pm at PNG Field, Altoona, PA.  The event has grown in popularity among both Head Start families and community organizations over the past five years prompting the program to move the event to a larger venue.

The well attended carnival draws a crowd of hundreds of enrolled children and their families from across Blair County.  Last year, over 700 Head Start children and family members were in attendance. The carnival focuses on child and family health and safety topics and features a wide variety of local community organizations, businesses, informational booths, family friendly activities and food.  This event is for children enrolled in the Blair County Head Start program and their families.
