Charlotte’s Trove Celebrates First Anniversary by Giving Back to the Community

Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania – The owner and employees of Charlotte’s Trove are celebrating their one year business anniversary by donating money to a local mammogram voucher program. Charlotte’s Trove teamed up with Girls Night Out Altoona, Inc. and is donating a percentage of their sales from their October 24th anniversary to the Breast Cancer & Women’s Health Institute of Central PA Voucher Program.

“It’s been an exciting first year in business,” says Charlene Dodson, owner of Charlotte’s Cove. “Since we were celebrating our milestone during breast cancer awareness month, we wanted to give back to a cause that is near and dear to us,” Dodson says.

One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer. “I lost my sister-in-law two years ago to breast cancer. Taking the time to get a mammogram is important and making sure people, who can’t afford them, still get them, is what the voucher program is all about. This is my small way of honoring my sister-in-law and paying it forward for others. That is what I want my boutique to be about, honoring the women who are important in our lives. Whether it is finding the perfect gift for a special occasion or enjoying a long chat with friends in our party room, Charlotte’s Trove is about sharing special moments with those people who have played an important role in your life,” explains Dodson. “I even named the boutique after the most important woman in my life my mom,” says Dodson.
